Acting (Ages 9-12)

In this fun and collaborative class, students develop acting skills, learn key theatre vocabulary, and explore character development and story structure. Through engaging drama games, improvisation, and the creation of their own short scenes, students will experience the joy of theatrical storytelling.

We also incorporate prop and costume elements to enhance the storytelling process. We may also head into our Lab blackbox theatre to begin learning the ropes of practicing in this versatile space.

No prior experience is needed, and repeating this class is encouraged to deepen understanding and mastery of theatrical tools. Our teachers tailor the lessons to fit the students in the room, ensuring every young theatre maker is supported and challenged appropriately.

• Students staying for both Monday classes are invited to join us for a supervised bag dinner break from 5:00 - 5:30 PM at KMT, at no additional cost. They can enjoy dinner with their theatre friends! (Please avoid bringing any nuts or nut-containing foods.)
