Improv Extravaganza Camp

🌟 Welcome to Improv Extravaganza Camp! ✨

We invite campers to join us for an unforgettable week of laughter, creativity, and theatrical exploration from July 16 to 19, 2024! Our camp runs Tuesday to Friday, July 16-19, 9 AM to 2 PM, and is designed for kids aged 9-14. 

Students will jump into the fascinating world of improvisational theater. Throughout the week, we'll engage in a variety of improv games, explore creative storytelling, and build connections through group dynamics. 

Participants will also discovery and play with how simple costume elements can enhance character creation and improvisation. 

At the end of the camp, we may share some improv games with students' families, depending on what best supports our kids' learning and process. It varies by group so, in true improv fashion, we'll adapt to what is best for our campers!

Good to know:

• There will be a snack and lunch time. NO NUTS please. We can not provide food; please send a snack and lunch with your child!
• We encourage water bottles with lids. There is a water fountain available.
• We suggest students wear layers (temperatures vary; we have air conditioning but it's an old building and cranky.).
• Please have your child wear shoes they can move in - "no's" - mud covered footwear, boots, cleats, slippers, bare feet. 
• Adults do not stay. We have a waiting area available with puzzles and books. However, on a nice day, we encourage families to head out and enjoy Astoria, do shopping etc. while we make theatre with your kids!
• Heads up that parking can take awhile depending on what is happening downtown.
• Kids 9 and up can check themselves in and out with advance permission. A link to the form is in the confirmation email after registration.
